美酒王国秋田の会 「お名残夏祭り利き酒会」開催
New York, NY September 5, 2008 - アメリカ・ニューヨーク在住の秋田県出身者有志4名の発起人により2006年6月に秋田県の銘酒、名産品、文化等を紹介することを目的として発足した「美酒王国秋田の会」が、９月５日、マンハッタンの日系人会にて第六回目の利き酒会を開催した。
第六回目の今回は「お名残夏祭り」と題し、秋田美人が浴衣でお酌をし、秋田の銘酒36銘柄に岩手県の銘酒2銘柄を加え、秋田の珍味を充実させて展開され、前回を上回る100名以上が参加。内、半数以上はアメリカ人で初めての参加者も多く、前回にも増して大きな賑わいを見せた。また、前回と同様、参加者にはお猪口が配られたが、マイ猪口持参者も多く見られた。
この利き酒会では、秋田酒類製造、秋田清酒（出羽鶴、刈穂）、秋田酒造、天の戸浅舞酒造、日の丸醸造、北鹿酒造、木村酒造、小玉醸造、那波商店、斎彌酒造店、天寿酒造、鈴木酒造店、新政酒造、飛良泉の15蔵元と岩手県の南部美人１蔵元より、過去最高の合計38銘柄の銘酒が出品されたほか、秋田珍味の「いぶりがっこ」、「比内地鶏の炊き込みめし」、「秋田名物冷し稲庭うどん」、「小玉醸造提供柏寿味噌で味付けした地鶏の唐揚げ」、「天の戸提供酒粕ディップ」、「秋田の味噌で漬け込んだモッツアレラチーズ」、そして浅舞婦人会の漬物各種が振舞われ、地鶏の唐揚げは量を2倍に増やしたが今回も１時間以内で無くなるほどの人気ぶりであった。
前回から「いとくスーパー」の塚本加奈子さんに、秋田県の食材購入と配送をお手伝いしていただき、今回も豊富な珍味を紹介する運びとなった。
今回は特別ゲストとして、秋田県の酒蔵5社が力をあわせ結成された「秋田酒輸出促進協議会（ASPEC）」の代表とし日の丸醸造の佐藤譲治取締役社長が参加され、ASPECの説明と銘酒の紹介がされた。また、同利き酒会に関し「このような秋田のお酒を紹介する会について有難く力強く思います」とのコメントをいただいた。
また、「Beautiful Akita Prefecture」や「他の蔵元の紹介」のDVDを映写し、「まげわっぱ」や「かば細工」の展示も行った。特別ゲストとして、石川さんの「尺八」の演奏が加わり、会場は一層盛り上がった。

美酒王国秋田の会 「第五回春の利き酒会」開催
New York, NY May 10, 2008 - アメリカ・ニューヨーク在住の秋田県出身者有志4名の発起人により2006年6月に秋田県の銘酒、名産品、文化等を紹介することを目的として発足した「美酒王国秋田の会」が、5月2日、マンハッタンの日系人会にて第五回目の利き酒会を開催した。
第五回目の今回は秋田の銘酒26銘柄に山形の銘酒1銘柄を加え、秋田の珍味を充実させて展開され、100名以上が参加し、内、半数以上はアメリカ人で大きな賑わいを見せた。また、参加者全員にお猪口が配られ、プラスティックカップの使用を止め、マイ猪口として、次回も持参していただくことにした。
この利き酒会では、春にちなみ、桜色が美しい古代米使用のお酒、秋田清酒、出羽鶴の「桜絵巻」のウェルカムドリンクで来場者を迎えた。更に、秋田酒類製造、秋田酒造、浅舞酒造、北鹿酒造、木村酒造、小玉醸造、天寿酒造、日の丸醸造、鈴木酒造店、那波商店、、斎彌酒造店、新政酒造、出羽桜酒造の14蔵元より、春の生酒を含めた過去最高の合計27銘柄の銘酒が出品されたほか、秋田珍味のいぶりがっこ、きりたんぽ鍋、比内地鶏の炊き込みめし、秋田の味噌を使用した地鶏の唐揚げ、秋田の味噌で漬け込んだモッツアレラチーズ、そして浅舞婦人会の漬物各種が振舞われ、地鶏の唐揚げは約30分で無くなるほどの人気ぶりであった。
今回から「いとくスーパー」の塚本加奈子さんに、秋田県の食材購入と配送をお手伝いしていただけることになった。今後より豊富な珍味を利き酒会で紹介できると期待している。
今回は特別ゲストとして、バイオリニスト小澤真智子さん(東京芸大卒、ジュリアード修士修了)の演奏が加わり、会場は一層華やかになった。また、「まげわっぱ」や「かば細工」の展示も行った。
今回四度目の参加であったというアメリカ人の日本酒ファンからは、「27銘柄の銘酒に、その土地独特の食べ物も紹介され、ヴァイオリン演奏もあり、とても楽しいイベントで、次も絶対に参加するので早くまた開催して欲しい」という声も上がった。
