ASC was established in June 2006 to introduce sake, food and culture of Akita Prefecture to the sake lovers in the NYC area. This spring, ASC is proud to announce its 22nd event. At this tasting, we are also celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Akita Sake Club. In support of the recent earthquake victims in Kumamoto and Oita of the Kyushu-region, part of the proceeds will go to charity. We greatly appreciate all those that have come before and loved our events and look forward to seeing you again.
Taste more than 45 of the finest sakes from Akita, Tohoku-region and other areas of Japan that we have selected especially for you.
Savour some of Akita’s delicacies such as “Cold Inaniwa Udon”, “Kamameshi”, “Akita-Miso Glazed Chicken”, “Iburigakko” and many more specialties from the region.
We will also have live performances by pianist Mr. Richard Bennett and guitarist Mr. Masami Ishikawa.
We hope you will join us at this next tasting event. Reservations are required and as space is limited, we suggest you reserve your spot early. We provide plastic tasting cups but recommend you to bring your own glass cup for better tasting. There will be some local potters who will be selling hand made original sake cups too. Sake Sommelier, Ms. Chizuko Niikawa will be present to answer any questions regarding our sake tastings.

第二十二回「秋田酒クラブ」春の利き酒会開催のご案内
「10周年記念及び熊本、大分、九州支援」と題して春の利き酒会を開催します。
2006年6月、秋田県の銘酒、名産品、文化等を紹介することを目的として発足した同会ですが、秋田県の人気銘柄はもちろん、現在は全国の銘酒を飲み比べもできる人気きき酒会として、早くも第２２回を迎えます。今回は「秋田酒クラブ10周年記念及び熊本、大分、九州支援」と題して、九州の日本酒コーナーを設けます。また、10周年記念のラッフルの抽選会も行い、約20名様以上に賞品が当たります。ラッフルの売り上げと参加費の一部を義捐金にする予定です。
秋田県からは、秋田晴、天の戸、木村、太平山など、他県からは東北を中心に、青森県 桃川、岩手県、南部美人、宮城県 鳳陽、福島県 奈良萬、大七、そして、全国からは、新潟県 八海山、石川県 天狗舞、佐賀県 天吹など、約45種類以上の銘酒のご案内を予定しております。秋田のお酒が好き、飲んでみたい、という方、どなたでも参加できます。
秋田名物「釜飯」、「稲庭うどん」、「秋田味噌使用ハニー地鶏」、「いぶりがっこ、ちょろぎ」の漬物、「モッツァレラチーズの味噌漬け」などのおつまみと一保堂の銘茶もご用意しています。
また、スペシャルゲストのRichard Bennettさんのピアノと石川政美さんのギター演奏もお楽しみいただけます。
